We’ve got some big news: two key leaders are joining the Semrush team to help us usher in a new era of customer-centricity and operational excellence. Abby Miller is our new Chief Customer Officer and Tara Haas is our new Chief of Staff.
This isn’t just about new titles; it’s about a strategic investment in our customers and our future. By bringing in these two seasoned leaders, we're ensuring that our growth is not just rapid, but also smart and sustainable.
Redefining Customer Success with Abby Miller
In today’s fast-paced digital world, a great product is just the beginning. Marketers need a strong partner equally invested in their growth. While many organizations treat customer success as a support function, Semrush believes it’s a core business strategy.
As Chief Customer Officer, Abby will champion this vision. She’ll be at the forefront of ensuring every interaction, from initial onboarding to ongoing support, is seamless, positive, and deeply personalized. Her leadership will be key to developing a comprehensive strategy that aligns with our business goals while staying laser-focused on the needs of our diverse and growing customer base, including our enterprise clients.
Abby’s team will focus on:
- Maximizing Customer Value: Implementing strategies to help customers more effectively leverage the full power of the Semrush platform, ensuring they get the most out of their investment.
- Building Lasting Partnerships: Moving beyond a transactional relationship to a genuine partnership. The team will champion initiatives that reduce churn and increase loyalty by proactively addressing needs and fostering a community where customers feel heard and valued.
- Championing Customer Feedback: Ensuring customer feedback is directly integrated into our product roadmap. This will lead to a more effective platform that evolves with user needs, making it easier for them to grow their businesses.
Driving Operational Excellence with Tara Haas
As Semrush’s global footprint continues to expand, the complexity of our business also increases—along with our potential for scaled growth. This is where Tara comes in. With a strong background in product management and innovation, and previous experience as a Chief of Staff at Dashlane, Tara brings a unique blend of vision and operational know-how.
As Chief of Staff, Tara will serve as a strategic extension of the CEO’s office. She will be instrumental in building the operational structure and processes needed to support our expansion, ensuring all teams are strategically aligned to achieve our ambitious goals. Her role is to make sure we're not just growing quickly, but that we're doing it smartly, with the right systems in place.

About the Leaders
Before joining Semrush, Abby Miller served as SVP of Customer Experience at LifeSpeak and LastPass, where she led the Customer Success, Support, Implementation, and Client Operations teams. She is a passionate and experienced leader helping businesses of all sizes (small and midmarket, commercial, and enterprise) achieve their goals.
Tara Haas previously served as Chief of Staff at LogMeIn and Dashlane, where she helped guide the company through a period of significant growth and market expansion. She brings a deep understanding of what it takes to scale a tech company effectively.
